The consular section of the Swiss Embassy in Abuja is in charge of the following matters: 

• administration of the Swiss community in Nigeria, Niger and Tchad, in terms of registration of the Swiss living abroad, citizenship and civils status affairs

• maintain the contact with the Swiss community

• issuing Swiss Identity documents

• emergency assistance or Social welfare in case of need

• general information about Swiss social insurance

• issuing visas for foreigners living in in Nigeria.

The Consulate General of Switzerland in Lagos supports the Swiss citizens in Lagos, in case of a crisis situation. All other consular questions have to be referred to the Embassy in Abuja.
