Ensuring equitable access of refugees to quality health services in the Republic of Moldova (single-phase project)

The proposed initiative aims to provide equitable access to quality health care for refugees with temporary protection, in line with the priorities of both the Moldovan and Swiss governments. By strengthening the capacity of Moldovan health care authorities and service providers, it will address critical gaps in the delivery of health services for refugees and establish sustainable financing and monitoring mechanisms for such services. The project also seeks to raise awareness among refugees and health care providers on health care packages available to refugees.

Projet Réponse d’urgence à base communautaire à la menace des engins explosifs dans les régions de Mopti et Tombouctou (PRUCEE-MT)

Avec le retrait de la Mission multidimensionnelle intégrée des Nations Unies (MINUSMA) pour la stabilisation au Mali et de l’agence de la lutte antimines (UNMAS), les populations de Mopti et Tombouctou sont sans protection contre les engins explosifs. La Suisse renforce ainsi son engagement humanitaire, en partenariat avec d’autres bailleurs internationaux, pour combler ce vide. Elle offre une réponse d’urgence à base communautaire pour protéger les populations civiles et gérer les victimes.


Kenya: Empowering refugees and host communities in Dadaab through market-led solutions (EMPOWER)

The project envisages to unlock the potential of displacement-affected communities (DACs) by providing access to capital, skills development, market opportunities and entrepreneur-friendly policies. The project aims to deliver on long-term economic growth, self-reliance and decreased dependency of DACs on aid. This sustainable approach offers a pathway out of poverty and towards thriving entrepreneurial livelihoods in Kenya.


Responsible Business Fund Plus (RBF+)

Myanmar’s post-coup conflict escalation and economic turmoil has led to financial and economic instability and destabilised the agrifood industry. Also, extreme weather and climate change further impact farmers and agricultural processors. The Responsible Business Fund Plus project aims to support agrifood businesses while reducing their environmental impact and thus deepening Switzerland's commitment to private sector engagement and an inclusive green economy.


Résilience pastorale Niger 2024-2025

Au Niger, les déficits fourragers et l’insécurité entrainent une perte de bétail pour 80% de la population qui pratique l’élevage. L’aide alimentaire n’est pas suffisante et non adaptée dans le temps. La Suisse contribue à couvrir les besoins alimentaires des populations pastorales en cette période de soudure pastorale 2024 et à asseoir les bases pour le renforcement de la résilience via la société civile pastorale.


Protection and emergency care for vulnerable and unaccompanied minors

The number of migrants transiting through Bosnia and Herzegovina remains high with more than 10% of them being unaccompanied minors in need of essential care and special protection due to their vulnerabilities. As the state system is not yet able to fully address their needs, assistance from external actors remains crucial to provide the much-needed support to this vulnerable group of migrants and to safeguard their rights.


Armenia SET Floods June 2024

Due to heavy rainfall since 25./26.05.2024, severe flooding occurred in two regions of Armenia, which caused some casualties and serious damage to infrastructural facilities such as bridges, roads, railroad lines, pump stations etc. The Armenian authorities asked for international support and accepted Switzerland’s offer for assistance through the deployment of a “SofortEinsatzTeam / SET”, specialized in carrying out structural assessments of damaged infrastructure. Decisions on optimum use of funds will be taken by the Crisis Cell chaired by the Head of HA in close coordination with the desk and Swiss representation in the country.


Soutien au programme d’INSO au Tchad

L’environnement opérationnel étant de plus en plus complexe pour les ONG humanitaires et de développement au Tchad pour des raisons sécuritaires, la DDC soutient l'ouverture d'un bureau d'International NGO Safety Organisation (INSO) afin de fournir une gamme de services essentiels sur les aspects sécuritaires et d’accès, aux ONG internationales et nationales, leur permettant de remplir leurs mandats auprès des populations de l’Est, du Bassin du Lac Tchad et du Sud.


Regional Pediatric Heart Examination and Surgery

01.06.2024 - 31.05.2026

This humanitarian aid initiative fosters regional solidarity and friendship between the countries, as Mongolia is well known for its international peace missions, and regional peace and security cooperation. Heart examinations of children with heart defects in DPRK, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan and Mongolia will be carried out. If necessary, children will undergo open heart surgery in Mongolia. The capacity building of cardiologists and medical professionals is an integral part.


Global Shelter Cluster, IFRC: Green Shelter and Settlements Response

The project will support the implementation of the new Global Shelter Cluster strategy (2024-2028) and in particular the knowledge and capacity building pillars of the Global Shelter Cluster environmental strategic approach with the main objective of the systematic integration of environmental and climate considerations into shelter and settlement responses.


UNICEF – Improving drinking water quality in Lebanon

01.06.2024 - 31.12.2026

Lebanon’s water sector is at risk of collapse. Therefore Switzerland, in partnership with UNICEF supports the provision of safe water through the public service. The proposed intervention is critical to the water sector and serves as emergency support to the population to avoid impacts of collapsed water systems such as cholera. It also lays the ground for longer-term improved water quality in Lebanon.


Production des Connaissances et Appui Institutionnel pour une gestion intégrée des Ressources en Eau au Tchad - ResEau

Le Tchad subit fortement les effets du changement climatique avec des pluviométries aléatoires. Le sous-sol du Tchad dispose d’un important potentiel en eau. Faute de compétences nationales, ces ressources en eau restent très peu mobilisées. La DDC renforce, à travers ce projet, les compétences et les connaissances nationales pour favoriser une gestion durable de ces ressources et contribue ainsi à la résilience du Tchad face aux changements climatiques.
