A3PV vise à améliorer la protection des populations vulnérables et cible principalement des femmes et des filles qui sont exposées ou ont subi de la violence. Le projet offre des services psychosociaux, médicaux, d’hébergement et autres, mène des activités de prévention et renforce la coordination au sein du secteur. Le programme renforce les capacités des organisations locales afin d’améliorer la qualité de leurs services et leur capacité de gestion.
Impact-Linked Finance for Gender Equality & Clean Energy (ILF for GCE) with a Goal for systemic change

This project targets a substantial improvement in the lives of 40,000 low-income women by transforming and expanding clean energy business models. Simultaneously, it aims to instil a robust and systemic gender equality orientation within the impact investment industry. This will be achieved through the introduction of a first ever outcome payment fund for gender equality tied to a substantial investment fund, thereby creating tangible incentives for more gender-focused investments.

Plus de 50% d’enfants de moins de 15 ans, majoritairement des filles, sont hors école au Niger. La Suisse soutient, depuis 2015, le droit à une éducation de qualité inclusive pour ce public à travers une offre d’éducation alternative, adoptée par l’Etat nigérien en avril 2022. La troisième phase du programme mettra l’accent sur la mise à l’échelle du modèle et les stratégies de rétention des élèves défavorisés, via la responsabilisation des acteurs locaux et l’adaptation du milieu scolaire.

SUD, OCHA: Sudan Humanitarian Fund 2024

The SHF is a country-based pooled fund that contributes to saving lives and protecting people in need by strengthening a coordinated and principled humanitarian response. It enables humanitarian actors to respond early and fast to humanitarian needs set out in the Humanitarian Response Plan (HRP) and to critical emergencies. All interventions are in line with the Minimum Operating Standards approved by the Humanitarian Country Team.

The Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement (hereafter the Movement) is among the most important partner of Switzerland in the implementation of its humanitarian priorities as defined in the Swiss International Cooperation Strategy. As the highest deliberative body, the Conference is of great importance for the Movement’s work, as well as for the promotion of international humanitarian law (IHL). The support for the Conference, the Movement as well as the strengthening of IHL constitutes strong priorities for Switzerland.
Global Malaria Technical & Training Support Package (GlobMal) 2024 - 2027

With increased cases and death globally (2019, 2020, 2021) and being off track to meet the Sustainable Development Goals 3.3, malaria is a major global health threat, impacting mainly children under 5 in Sub-Saharan Africa. This burden is exacerbated by new challenges such as increasing resistance to malarial drugs or climate change. The project aims to shape effective global and national malaria capacities and elimination strategies, by providing the necessary scientific evidence and strengthening capacities of malaria-affected countries.

Switzerland supports civil society in Kosovo – towards a strong and sustainable democracy actor, by contributing together with other development partners to the local re-granting scheme, administered by the Kosovo Civil Society Foundation (KCSF). Various types of grants (for activities, organisational strengthening, etc.) and capacity development enable improved organisational and financial capacities of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), strengthened constituency relations and increased civic engagement in public affairs.

The Swiss Malaria Group (SMG) is a Swiss-based public, private academic and civil society leadership network that works towards a malaria-free world. SMG member organisations coordinate their efforts to engage technical expertise, opinion-makers and the general public to provide Swiss leadership against malaria, strengthen research and innovation by Swiss actors, and fight malaria in low- and middle-income countries.

Yearly Contribution to the UN Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF) 2024

Established in 2005 as the UN’s global emergency response fund, the Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF) – managed and administered by OCHA – pools contributions from funding partners around the world into a single global fund to enable more timely and reliable humanitarian assistance to those affected by natural disasters and armed conflicts. It is often the first funding source in new and rapidly escalating emergencies, and one of the few funding sources in underfunded emergencies.

SDC funding to ICRC operations allows the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to respond proactively and to provide immediate protection and assistance for people affected by armed conflict and other situations of violence. The ICRC is the most important partner of SDC in the humanitarian field. About one third of the SDC Humanitarian Aid budget is allocated to the ICRC. The core contribution of CHF 80 million reflects Switzerland’s interest for the ICRC to have strong and well-established headquarters in Geneva.
