Contribution to UNRWA’s Emergency Interventions in Lebanon 2023

Due to the several crises that have affected Lebanon over the past three years, the needs of Palestinian refugees have become more urgent. The United Nations Relief and Works Agency Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) is crucial to respond to the most basic needs of Palestine refugees as well as to maintain regional stability. Thus, in response to UNRWA's Syria, Lebanon, and Jordan Emergency Appeal 2023, Switzerland designates its support to the urgent needs of Palestine refugees in Lebanon, including the provision of cash assistance.

Together possible - Program contribution WWF Switzerland Global Engagement Program (GEP) 2023–2024

The World Wide Fund for Nature Switzerland is a Swiss NGO funded by foundations, private donors and its 300’000 members. As a fully autonomous organization it is part of WWF’s global network, which is present in almost 100 countries. Through and jointly with local WWF offices, it works towards sustaining natural resources such as freshwater, forests and coastlines whilst improving the livelihoods of disadvantaged and marginalized communities depending on functioning ecosystem services.

Program contribution to Helvetas, 2023-2024

Helvetas is an independent Swiss NGO supported by over 100’000 members and private donors. It is active in 32 countries with over 250 projects and about 1’600 staff addressing multiple dimensions of poverty and improving the living conditions of disadvantaged communities in the South and in Eastern Europe. Helvetas is an important actor of the Swiss International Cooperation promoting international solidarity and raising awareness about sustainable development, including in the tourism.

Partenaire des collectivités publiques genevoises, elle est garante de qualité et d’une bonne gestion, et elle sensibilise la population genevoise aux enjeux globaux des 17 Objectifs Durables du Développement de l’Agenda 2030.

The Pestalozzi Children's Foundation (PCF) is a globaly active Swiss non-profit organization. PCF enhances inclusive and equitable quality education with a focus on the most vulnerable children. Through capacity development and close cooperation with local NGOs and other partners, PCF supports the strengthening of civil society as a way to effectivively promote human rights, gender equality and sustainable development. Its support to international cooperation in education draws from Swiss expertise in the field of education.

Program Contribution for Swiss Red Cross 2023-2024

Member of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, the Swiss Red Cross (SRC), supports vulnerable poor people and communities in their disaster risk management, preparedness and response. SRC promotes equal access to healthcare with a focus on mother and child health and health for ageing people, and supports poor communities in accessing safe drinking water and sanitation. With its local partners and the large networks of volunteers, SRC reaches out to approximately 6.7 million beneficiaries annually.

Swisscontact is an independent Swiss non-profit organization founded in 1959 by Swiss representatives from business and science. Rooted in the private sector, it has a comparative advantage within international cooperation as a driving force for private sector development. Swisscontact’s international program aims to create income and jobs with positive effects on the environment, gender equality and social well-being. To achieve this, the focus is on skills and employability as well as entrepreneurship and productivity.

Programme contribution to Decent Work Alliance 2023-2024

Solidar Suisse and Brücke · Le pont are joining forces in the Decent Work Alliance to contribute to an inclusive and development-friendly economy and decent jobs in the fight against poverty. The Alliance covers 16 countries, including a joint thematic focus in El Salvador and Benin. Due to its constituency rooted in the trade unions, both partners pursue a special focus on Decent Work (SDG 8). They also strengthen democracy and civil society and engage in humanitarian action.

Caritas Switzerland (CACH) is dedicated to combating poverty and providing relief assistance in 15 countries affected by disaster and crisis, while successfully combining development, cooperation and humanitarian aid. With its sharpened thematic and geographical profile, CACH is significantly contributing to the implementation of Swiss international cooperation.

Programme contribution HEKS/EPER 2023–2024

01.01.2023 - 31.12.2024

Directly and through a network of 100 local partner organisations, HEKS/EPER engages in peacebuilding, social inclusion, equal rights, and resilience by empowering people overcoming disparities and, thus, reducing poverty. The main focus is on sustainable land and resource management, agro-ecological production and inclusive markets. As a well anchored partner in humanitarian aid, HEKS/EPER provides emergency assistance including responses to pandemics, armed conflicts, refugee crises, and disasters.

Swiss association of International Volunteering for Development (IV4D) UNITE 2023-2024

UNITE is a Swiss umbrella organization of 16 member organizations engaged in volunteering for development. It contributes to poverty reduction by facilitating synergies, mutual learning and quality management for its members. UNITE manages the SDC contribution to 9 eligible member organizations, who directly work for the empowerment of Global South partners to implement SDGs (2, 3, 4, 16, 17), build sustainable partnerships, implement quality programmes with reasonable resources and promote a committed and open humanitarian Switzerland.

cinfo ist das Schweizer Kompetenzzentrum für Information, Beratung und Bildung für Berufe der internationalen Zusammenarbeit (IZA). Cinfo garantiert qualitativ hochstehende Dienstleistungen, um in der IZA tätigen Bundesämtern sowie IZA-Organisationen Fachkräfte zur Verfügung zu stellen, welche den aktuellen Herausforderungen in der IZA gerecht werden. Koordiniert durch die DEZA soll in Zusammenarbeit mit SECO, AFM und AUN die Präsenz qualifizierter Schweizerinnen und Schweizer in multilateralen Organisationen erhöht werden.
