Global Diet Quality Project

Poor diets and all forms of malnutrition are the main drivers of ill health and premature mortality globally, with negative spill over effects on the environment and economy. SDC, aligned with Switzerland’s 2030 SDG Strategy to transform food systems and champion better nutrition, supports the generation and dissemination of the first routinely collected and internationally comparable public data on diet quality to contribute to a better understanding of dietary trends and inform the design of policies and interventions.

Programme contribution for LNOB Alliance 2023-2024

FAIRMED and Christoffel Blindenmission (CBM) have joined forces in the LNOB Alliance. It works in fragile contexts, prioritizing the needs of the most marginalized and discriminated people especially of women, men, girls and boys with disabilities. It seeks to improve living conditions of individuals and empowering marginalized communities while also strengthening inclusive systems and services. The Alliance contributes to the implementation of the UN Conventions on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, which Switzerland ratified in 2014.

Program Contribution to Kooperationsgemeinschaft (KoGe), 2023-2024

KoGe is an umbrella organization whose mandate is aligned with the SDG 16+ framework (peaceful, just and inclusive societies). With its faith-based member organizations of protestant background that are deeply anchored in the Swiss society, KoGe empowers disadvantaged people and provides access to food security, education and health. It also strengthens communities in peacebuilding and conflict transformation.

Program contribution to Alliance Biovision/CEAS 2023-2024

Biovision and the Centre Ecologique Albert Schweizer (CEAS) jointly support inclusive ecological development of healthy, resilient, and prosperous communities in Sub-Sahara Africa by addressing root causes and effects of fragility. The Alliance promotes innovative solutions in agriculture and food systems, renewable energy, sanitation and health in collaboration with private sector and research. Biovision facilitates policy dialogue at local and international level on the sustainable transformation of food systems and the implementation of the Agenda 2030.

Programme contribution for EdM-SM Alliance 2023-2024

The EdM-SM Alliance stands for equal access to quality health services and education adapted to local socio-economic realities. The Alliance works with vulnerable and most disadvantaged groups: women, children and poor people, mainly in rural areas. Thematic priorities are the strengthening of health and education systems, community-based approaches in mother-child health as well as primary education. The Alliance works on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, (Non-) Communicable Diseases and on social determinants of health.

Program Contribution to the Alliance Terre des Hommes Schweiz-Suisse 2023-2024

Terre des hommes Schweiz and Terre des Hommes Suisse have formed an alliance to pool their expertise in the promotion of children's and youth rights in Africa, Latin America, Asia and the Caribbean. Focusing on the most vulnerable and marginalized children and youth, the alliance can address more effectively the root causes of their exclusion and vulnerability. Added values lie in the joint effort to strengthen civil society and in improving approaches to protection and participation.

Programme Contribution to INTERACTION, 2023-2024 «Learning 360» - Learning for Change and Resilience

Founded in 2008, INTERACTION is a national umbrella organization. Its vision is to facilitate cooperation for a more just, sustainable and peaceful world for all people. Its programme presents a holistic approach to address poverty and injustice through an educational-learning lens and a focus on the human right to education. INTERACTION fosters learning among its members and manages the SDC contribution of 4 organisations out of 34 members, which are eligible to receive a programme contribution from SDC.

Programme Contribution Alliance for Sustainable Food Systems and Empowered Communities SUFOSEC 2023-2024

The Alliance of Swissaid, Fastenaktion, Vétérinaires sans Frontières Suisse and Vivamos Mejor strives, in collaboration with its strategic partners, to strengthen local food systems, empower communities and marginalized people, build knowledge, and advocate for an agro-ecological transformation to cope with livelihood challenges. The combination of human-centered approaches and systemic changes enables rural communities to improve resilience, enjoy good basic service coverage and increase their ability to adapt to climate change and to access markets for agricultural products.

Fondation Hirondelle was established in 1995. It provides impartial and independent information to populations affected by conflict, crisis, disaster or situations where the right to information is violated. With its international program focused on Africa, Asia and Europe, it develops media solutions responding to specific needs of people and builds capacities of media-system actors operating mainly in fragile contexts.

Avec ses partenaires neuchâtelois : Canton, Communes, institutions de formation et entreprises, Latitude 21 s’engage pour la réalisation des Objectifs de développement durable de l’Agenda 2030 en Suisse et dans les pays du Sud.

La Fédération interjurassienne FICD regroupe 35 ONG de développement, et apporte un soutien technique et financier à leurs activités et projets dans les pays du Sud. Elle informe le publique sur les enjeux du développement durable, favorise les échanges d’expériences, et assure la qualité des projets soutenus. Avec ses partenaires et des institutions de formation: cantons, communes, écoles, etc. la FICD s’engage pour la réalisation des Objectifs de développement durable (ODD) de l’Agenda 2030 en Suisse et dans les pays du Sud.

FOSIT – Contribution programme 2023-2024

La FOSIT est une fédération de 58 ONG, activement engagée depuis 1999 dans la Suisse italienne qui soutient la coopération internationale au développement et l’aide humanitaire et les projets des associations membres. Elle promeut la qualité institutionnelle et opérationnelle de ses membres et mobilise des partenaires publics et privés qui soutiennent financièrement les projets des ONG, et les activités de la FOSIT: le renforcement des capacités des ONG, la sensibilisation du public sur le développement durable, avec un cadre de référence précis, l’Agenda 2030.
