According to the newly approved National Strategy of Transformation - NST2 (2024–2029), reducing stunting and malnutrition comes among the top five priorities of the government of Rwanda (GoR) with an ambitious target of reducing child stunting from 33% to 15% by 2029. Thus, Switzerland’ support to GAIN and the collaboration with different actors across the health and food sectors: GoR, private sector and farmers assures stimulating production, access, affordability and consumption of desirable nutritious and safe foods.
Save the Children, Building Inclusive Resilience and Durable Solutions for forcibly displaced populations and vulnerable groups in Yobe State

Finding durable solutions for up to five hundred thousand current and formerly displaced persons (IDPs) in Yobe State, Northeast Nigeria, is a critical step towards lasting peace and development in the region. This project, which is part of a multi-pronged SDC support to local authorities, will contribute to facilitate local integration and return of IDPs by enhancing agricultural productivity, providing livelihood and employment opportunities, strengthening community disaster risk reduction, and access to justice.

Au Burkina Faso, 65,5% des adultes sont analphabètes et 50% des enfants de 6 à 16 ans (3 millions) sont exclus de l’école. La Suisse soutient la diversification des alternatives éducatives au profit des exclus de l’éducation, afin de renforcer les capacités à lire et écrire et les connaissances techniques et professionnelles de près de 250’000 apprenants. Ce soutien contribue à améliorer l’insertion socio-conomique et les conditions de vie, prévenant ainsi la migration irrégulière et l’enrôlement par les groupes armés.
Protecting children, women and youth affected by conflict through local actors in Borno State

The protracted conflict in North East Nigeria continues to expose vulnerable populations to multiple types of violence and abuse. This initiative implemented by local NGOs focuses on building community-based systems to prevent and respond to child protection and gender-based violence (GBV) risks. In line with SDC’s commitment to localization, this initiative will foster sustainable practices and local ownership to create a lasting impact for children, GBV survivors and their communities.

IOM Venezuela aims to enhance the protection and well-being of vulnerable people in mobility in Apure, Zulia, and Táchira, due to the high impact of the post-election crisis on the social, economic and security situation. Zimbabwe’s social protection system is characterised by low coverage, poor targeting, weak coordination and high fragmentation, making it inadequate to assist the growing number of poor and vulnerable people. These contributions to the World Bank and UNICEF, two expert organisations on social protection, aim to strengthen the foundational architecture to improve, expand and manage access to social assistance, livelihood support, and resilience services for vulnerable groups.

Switzerland’s single phase contribution to Save the Children’s project (Afaaq) enhances learning and well-being of crisis affected children in conflict impacted areas in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem. Young boys and girls from poorer households are able to access early childhood care services, which support their socio-emotional development and school-readiness. In addition, pre-school and school aged children exposed to violence receive child protection and psychosocial support.
LEB – LRC – Cost efficient water, sanitation and hygiene services in refugee settlements and neighbouring communities

The Lebanese Red Cross ensures cost efficient water and sanitation services in Syrian refugee settlements and neighbouring local communities to avoid life threatening diseases like cholera and prevent tensions due e. g. to spilling of untreated waste water. The Lebanese Red Cross is highly respected by all layers of society and the results are affordable and long lasting.

Malgré les efforts fournis dans le cadre de la consolidation de la paix, les solutions durable pour les communautés affectées par les déplacements ne sont pas envisagées de manière systématique, normative et institutionelle. Le présent projet vise une réponse holistique à la réintégration socio-économique des rapatriés et des déplacés internes (PDIs) dans leurs communautés d'accueil. Il se basera sur l'approche par zone et le triple nexus.
Renforcer la promotion et la protection des droits de l'Homme en Tunisie

Cette intervention vise à soutenir le programme pays mis en oeuvre par le Haut-Commissariat des Nations Unies aux droits de l'Homme. Elle se fixe comme objectif de contribuer à la promotion et à la protection des droits humains en Tunisie i) en développant les connaissances en la matière, ii) en élargissant l'espace civique, iii) en responsabilisant les administrations judiciaires, sécuritaires et pénitenciaires et en renforcement de leurs capacités, et iv) en apportant un soutien direct aux victimes dans leur quête de justice. Elle suit une approche participative associant l'ensemble des acteurs clés concernés.

Ce projet, mis en oeuvre par l’Organisation internationale du Travail (OIT), se fixe comme objectif de renforcer la cohésion et la paix sociale à travers un dialogue tripartites responsable et inclusif qui promeut la justice sociale et la stabilité. Il permettra également de sensibilisés les partenaires tripartites sur les enjeux de la cohésion et la justice sociale, de renforcer leurs capacités et de créer des mécanismes de concertation dont le CNDS. Ce projet contribuera également à la formulation d’une vision et des propositions concertées sur le relèvement socio-économique durable en Tunisie qui prend en compte les voix des groupes vulnérables et les challenges environnementaux notamment dans le cadre des travaux de préparation du plan de développement national 2026-2030. La priorisation des thématiques des réformes prioritaires sera opérée au sein des mécanismes de concertation. Un renforcement des capacités techniques des mandants tripartites sera programmé afin de garantir un dialogue social efficace.
