Ausbau der Neonatologie des Bertha Calderon Spitals

Das öffentliche Bertha Calderon ist ein Referenzspital für Neonatologie in Nicaragua. Durch den Ausbau und die Modernisierung seiner Neonatologie-Abteilung leistet dieses single-phase-Projekt einen Beitrag zur Reduktion der Frühgeborenen-Sterblichkeit in Nicaragua. Nutzniesserinnen sind Familien aus der Unterschicht, die besseren Zugang zu adäquaten Dienstleistungen für Frühgeborene erhalten. Trotz Fortschritten weist Nicaragua eine der höchsten Säuglingssterblichkeitsraten der Region aus.

Risikomanagement für Partner des Global Fund (GFATM)

Das Ziel des Global Fund ist die Bekämpfung von AIDS, Tuberkulose und Malaria. In der Erfüllung seines Mandates arbeitet er über lokale Partner. Die Erfahrung hat jedoch gezeigt, dass diese oftmals Schwächen im Bereich von Risikomanagement und im Finanz-und Programmmanagement aufzeigen. Die Partnerschaft zwischen der DEZA und der GIZ sieht für die Stärkung der lokalen Partner in Risikomanagement eine Reihe von Unterstützungsmassnahmen vor.

Il fatto che in Ucraina, il numero di decessi causati da malattie non trasmissibili sia superiore alla media internazionale è da ricondurre allo stile di vita spesso poco sano della popolazione e alle lacune del sistema sanitario. Un progetto pluriennale della DSC punta a migliorare questa situazione.

In Nicaragua la riduzione del rischio di catastrofi dà ottimi risultati

Un progetto sperimentale per ridurre al minimo i danni dovuti al cambiamento climatico è stato condotto in Nicaragua per un periodo di poco più di tre anni, permettendo a migliaia di piccoli agricoltori di prendere coscienza del problema e di provare nuove tecniche. I loro raccolti sono così aumentati.

Population and Housing Census of Myanmar 2014

No census has been conducted in Myanmar since 1983, and then the conflict areas were not included. As a result, the new Government and partners including Switzerland lack essential data for planning, monitoring and evaluating reforms and programmes. The successful implementation of the 2014 Population and Housing Census would fill that important gap.

Cours massifs en ligne en Afrique et dans les futurs pays émergeants MOOCs

Ce programme vise à former des cadres principalement dans les domaines de la santé, de l’eau et de l’environnement et à offrir des opportunités de formation accrues à une jeunesse africaine à travers des cours massifs en ligne libres (MOOC). La DDC soutient la phase pilote de ce programme qui se réalise sous l’égide de l’EPFL en partenariat avec des établissements universitaires et agences de développement en Afrique francophones.

Grow Africa: Support Farmers’ Engagement

Grow Africa, a partnership agreement co-convened by the African Union Commission, NEPAD Agency and World Economic Forum (WEF) has supported since 2011 the implementation of the Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme (CAADP) to accelerate responsible investment into agriculture. SDC’s contribution will be targeted to increasing smallholders’ integration into commercial value chains of staple crops for domestic and regional markets to contribute to poverty eradication and improved food security.

The dual vocational education training (VET) system has a long standing tradition in German-speaking countries and contributes to employment and income. Its adaptation in development contexts is often complex and challenging. By fostering networks between the donor agencies working on dual VET and tapping into the experience of the Swiss VET-community, the exchange of best practices will improve VET projects in the partner countries and lead to a better international positioning of the dual VET approaches.

L’UNHAS est le service aérien du PAM qui appuie les interventions en faveur de la sécurisation alimentaire des ménages pauvres du Niger. L'UNHAS facilite et sécurise l'essentiel des déplacements des agents de l'aide humanitaire et des programmes de coopération au Niger. Ce service est l'unique moyen de transport pour rejoindre les régions reculées du pays en toute sécurité. Afin de maintenir cette prestation décisive, l'UNHAS requiert l'appui des partenaires techniques et financiers.

Direct Action: Support to Families and Communities Hosting Syrian Refugees Phase III [PRO]

Protective host shelter environment for 27’000 Syrian refugees is provided for 6 months through support to 3,200 Lebanese families hosting Syrian refugees in Akkar Region (Wadi Khaled and Akroum areas). This project will be implemented through a SDC direct action cash modality and in partnership with a local NGO, Mada Association; in close coordination with Lebanese local authorities of affected municipalities and communities, INGOs working in the area and UNHCR.

SDC-EU Dialogue Program 2013 - 2016

The program is set up to promote more systematically complementarities and synergies with certain EU External Action policies. It seeks to establish a continuous dialogue with relevant European Commission institutions, based on a flow of relevant knowledge on development policy matters, with the aims of increasing Switzerland’s visibility at the EU level as a reliable donor and further increasing the effectiveness of Swiss international cooperation. To achieve its goals, SDC closely collaborates with a Brussels-based Think-and-Do-Tank, the European Centre for Development Policy Management (ECDPM).
