Contribution au Réseau Ouest et Centre

Le contexte ouest et centre africain est confronté à diverses faiblesses sur le plan de l’éducation de base et la formation professionnelle. A travers la production de recherches de qualité, le ROCARE est en mesure de formuler des recommandations opérationnelles. La diffusion des résultats de recherches auprès des décideurs et des praticiens du secteur est assurée par le Réseau qui restitue ses réflexions dans le cadre de forums. L’utilisation effective des recherches pour la formulation des politiques d’éducation/formation reste un défi. Le ROCARE est actif dans 16 pays dont les 4 pays DAO; les Bucos exploiteront les études et pourront solliciter le ROCARE sur des thèmes spécifiques

Improved Access to Human Rights for People in Bangladesh

Despite the establishment of a National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), Human Rights (HR) violations are still very much present in Bangladesh, especially in the rural areas. The present project will make available funding to support the NHRC as well as the country’s leading HR NGO in their endeavour to improve promotion and protection of HR country-wide. The project is part of a joint undertaking of a consortium of like-minded donor partners.

UNICEF Emergency Response for Displaced Syrian Children

The ongoing violence in Syria has triggered a continuous increase in the number of displaced Syrians seeking refuge in Jordan. According to the UNHCR, around 29,0001 Syrians have been registered in Jordan. Out of them 50% are children. UNICEF, as the leading agency mandated to ensure the protection and assistance of children, appealed in June for urgent funds for their emergency operation for Syrian refugee children. The total amount required for the operation is US$ 14.800 million, of which US$ 9 million (CHF 8.6 million) are designated to meet the emerging humanitarian needs of displaced Syrians children and young people in Jordan.

Formazione professionale in Tunisia – Obiettivo impiego

Fattore determinante nelle rivoluzioni che hanno scosso i Paesi del Nord Africa nel 2011, la disoccupazione dei giovani dipende dalla loro difficile impiegabilità sul mercato del lavoro. Un progetto della DSC punta a sviluppare la formazione professionale in Tunisia. I giovani laureati in particolare hanno così l’opportunità di acquisire competenze pratiche nel corso di stage effettuati all’interno di «aziende di pratica commerciale». Visti i risultati positivi ottenuti, l’intervento della Svizzera è stato prorogato fino al 2020.

La formazione professionale è la porta d'ingresso al mondo del lavoro e gioca un ruolo chiave nella riduzione della povertà. L'accesso alla formazione professionale è tuttavia ancora difficile in molti Paesi, dove gran parte della popolazione ne è privata. Nel Burkina Faso, la DSC sostiene un programma di sostegno alle attività di formazione professionale nei settori dell'artigianato, dell'agricoltura, dell'allevamento e della selvicoltura. Il programma valorizza il sistema duale di apprendistato, sulla falsariga del modello svizzero.

Contribution au programme du Canton du Jura au Cameroun dans le domaine de la Santé et du Développement Rural. Dans le domaine de la santé le but principal du projet restera l\'amélioration de la santé des populations des départements de la Lékié et de la Mefou, dans le cadre de la politique sanitaire du Cameroun, en mettant l\'accent sur le soutien aux plus démunis. Dans le domaine rural, le Canton se concentrera sur l’institut agricole.

AREU is one of a few national organisations that conduct policy-relevant research. Research reports produced by AREU are effectively responding to policy needs and are widely used by the GoA and international community. AREU builds national research capacity and provides a number of unique services. SDC’s contribution enables AREU to develop institutionally, build local research capacity, conduct reliable research studies and stay impartial in the complex political arena of Afghanistan.

International dialogue on migration and development (M&D) aims to engage with States and contribute to their migration governance while linking it with development concerns to impact the design of migration policies, the formulation of developmental and poverty alleviation strategies, and foster livelihood opportunities for migrants and their families. The SDC’s Global Programme on Migration and Development (GPMD), alongside other SDC units, Swiss and international actors, is well positioned to enrich the debate and enhance the M&D capacity of States by shaping key areas of this dialogue as a result of its innovative role in the Swiss Global Forum on Migration and Development (GFMD) Chairmanship in 2011.
