Despite Vietnam’s high economic growth rates in the last decades with impressive achievements in poverty reduction, the poverty rate gap between urban and rural areas is still high. More than 95% of poor people live in rural areas. In Cao Bang province, where ethnic minorities account for more than 90% of the population, the poverty rates were 25% in 2009.

Essa spiana la strada alla formazione professionale e riveste un ruolo essenziale nella lotta contro la povertà. Nell’Africa occidentale, tuttavia, la gran parte della popolazione non può usufruire di tale diritto. Dal 2003 la DSC sostiene un progetto d’istruzione, la Pedagogia del testo, un approccio originale e collaudato.

Contribution to the Kosovo Property Agency (KPA)

Since 2006 the Kosovo Property Agency (KPA) has been operating as an institutional instrument to facilitate the restoration of private immovable property rights in Kosovo. As specialized legal expertise on property issues in Kosovo is lacking and a severe backlog of cases (+/- 250,000) in Kosovo municipal courts persists, KPA remains the only feasible instrument in Kosovo for en masse processing of private immovable - commercial and agricultural - property claims filed by persons displaced in the 1998-99 conflict.

Natura 2000 species diversity

The project aims at an increased protection of biodiversity on agricultural lands, particularly on Natura 2000 areas, through enhanced knowledge of the effects of agri-environmental schemes. The project sets the basis for a regional monitoring system. In addition, the awareness of relevant target groups (farmers, public authorities, NGOs) will be increased by information and training measures.
