Which documents should I submit with a visa application?
- authorisation issued by the cantonal authority (original or copy)
- application for a long stay visa (visa D)
- valid passport (original)
- two photographs, not older than 6 months
- visa fees
- Pre-paid, self-addressed return envelope with tracking number

The new date and time you would like to come to the Embassy
If the personal apperance is needed (see information on the applicable requirement list), an appointment with the visa section of the Embassy of Switzerland in Wellington has to be applied online.
Applications of walk-in visitors are not accepted.

Applications for a national visa are submitted to Switzerland for authorization. The processing time is between 8 and 12 weeks.
Applications have therefore to be presented on time.
In case an autorization has already being granted, the processing time is between 3 and 10 working days.
