Switzerland celebrates Francophonie in Dar es Salaam

The Embassy of Switzerland, jointly with other Francophone Embassies in Tanzania, are celebrating the ‘month of Francophonie’ between March 17 and April 21 this year. The celebrations include both online and offline cultural, educational and entertainment activities and events.

To mark the occasion, the Embassy joined other Francophone Embassies to create short cooking videos on how to make traditional dishes from respective countries.

The Swiss Embassy will also host the screening of a documentary film Bounty on Wednesday, 14 April at Alliance Francaise in Dar es Salaam.

Switzerland has been a full member of the International Organisation of La Francophonie (IOF) since 1989 when it joined the Summit of the heads of state and government of countries sharing the French language (Summit of La Francophonie).
