On 4 and 5 April, the Mayor of Lausanne, Mr. Grégoire Junod visited Istanbul where he was received by the Mayors of Istanbul and Şişli, Mr. Ekrem İmamoğlu and Mr. Muammer Keskin. With both Mayors and the Consul General of Switzerland Mr. Julien Thöni, Mr. Junod discussed the 100 years of the Treaty of Lausanne, cooperation among their cities and the different challenges they face (climate change, integration of less favoured inhabitants, «living together»). In Istanbul, Mr. Junod visited many projects, including the Atatürk House and the Food Bank, dedicated to support the citizens in their daily life. After Istanbul, the Mayor of Lausanne travelled to Ankara on 6 April.
