Le Mali traverse une crise complexe et prolongée privant près de 600’000 enfants de protection et de leur droit fondamental à l’éducation. Déscolarisés, ils sont exposés à des risques accrus. Ce projet offre à plus de 24’000 enfants vulnérables des régions de Bandiagara, Douentza, Mopti et Tombouctou une opportunité éducative adaptée dans un environnement sûr et protecteur. Le renforcement des capacités éducatives et de gouvernance bénéficie à plusieurs milliers d’autres.
Core Support to Ifakara Innovation Hub

This contribution aims to provide catalytic financial resources to strengthen the Ifakara Innovation Hub (IIH), a nascent rural collaborative space to foster innovation, entrepreneurship, and community-driven solutions.
Protection and emergency care for vulnerable and unaccompanied minors

The number of migrants transiting through Bosnia and Herzegovina remains high with more than 25% of them being unaccompanied minors in need of essential care and special protection due to their vulnerabilities. As the state system is not yet able to fully address their needs, assistance from external actors remains crucial to provide adequate support to this vulnerable group of migrants and to safeguard their rights.

La recrudescence des violences armées qui sévissent à l'Est de la RDC a occassionné un afflux de réfugiés vers le Burundi. Ces réfugiés sont en besoin d'assistance en protection, vivres et non vivres, abri, eau, hygiène et soins de santé. Ils arrivent dans des conditions précaires et extrêmement vulnérables. Le Burundi, en situation socio-économique et sécuritaire difficile, n'a pas les moyens de les accueillir sans aide internationale. Cette contribution humanitaire vise à améliorer de façon urgente les conditions de vie des réfugiés congolais.

Via la DDC, la Suisse poursuit son soutien pluriannuel à la Radio Ndeke Luka (RNL) par la Fondation Hirondelle en République centrafricaine (RCA). L’éducation à l’utilisation des médias contribue à informer, à stimuler le débat, à promouvoir les droits humains et à lutter contre la désinformation, participant ainsi à la consolidation d’une paix durable dans le pays.

In Phase 2 NGO Resource Center will continue to provide capacity-building support to NGOs, particularly those focused on child protection and expand Mental Health and Psychosocial Support interventions for children and families. Additionally, the project will address child sexual abuse and violence by equipping humanitarian workers and relevant stakeholders with the necessary tools to respond effectively to child disclosures of abuse.

The number of internally displaced persons (IDPs) is on the rise while a major review of the global humanitarian and development system is ongoing and funding is diminishing. This programme positions Switzerland to advocate for durable solutions for IDPs. It provides the knowledge, resources and solutions to Switzerland in shaping the role of International Geneva as the UN’s humanitarian and migration hub in addressing the biggest ongoing displacement crisis in the world.

SDC finances the placement of young Swiss graduates within SDCs priority United Nations agencies. WOCAT 2020+ Multi-Donor Basket Fund

Sustainably managing land is crucial to strengthen climate and livelihood resilience. WOCAT, global knowledge platform initiated by Switzerland, documents, shares and supports the implementation of such practices. The aim is to generate multiple benefits that can overcome the competition between climate change, food production, and biodiversity loss. To catalyse and facilitate support, a Multi-Donor Basket Fund has been set up, managed by the UN Convention to Combat Desertification.
