Medicines for Malaria Venture (MMV)

Malaria treatment is an urgent need that requires the development of affordable and accessible medicines for low-income regions. The Geneva-based Medicines for Malaria Venture product development partnership leads efforts for new antimalarial treatments. This work is in line with Swiss values of collaboration and innovation, contributing to equitable access to quality medicines for vulnerable groups such as children and pregnant women.

HEKS/EPER, through an extensive network of partners, engages in inclusion, equal rights, peacebuilding, and resilience by empowering people to overcome disparities and reduce poverty. The main focus is on the right and access to land and resources and their sustainable management, the right to food, agro-ecological production, inclusive markets, and climate justice and adaptation for improved resilience. Increasingly well anchored in humanitarian aid, HEKS/EPER provides emergency assistance.

Its focus on maternal and child health, children and young people on the move, and access to child friendly justice is very relevant for the implementation of the Swiss IC strategy 25-28.

MSF-CH provides medical humanËtariana id to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics and disasters or excluded from health services. It ensures access to sexual and reproductive health, paediatric care, surgery and WASH. It responds to epidemic, and treats non-communicable diseases and conditions, including mental health. It focuses on strengthening local healthcare and improving medical protocols and advocates for action on neglected crises. Health and humanitarian aid are important pillars of Swiss 25-28 IC strategy.


Core Contribution to Swiss Red Cross 2025-2028

The Swiss Red Cross supports disadvantaged people and communities in disaster preparedness, response and recovery. It promotes equal access to healthcare particularly for the most at risk, including women, children and the elderly. SRC also engages in the field of internationaml igration.S RC's main priorityi s to strengthen Sister National Societies (SNSs) to become effective local actors tackling development challenges. SRC’s endeavours are highly relevant for the implementation of the Swiss IC Strategy 25-28.

KoGe is an umbrella organisation whose mandate is aligned with the SDG 16+ framework (peaceful, just and inclusive societies). With its faith-based member organisations of protestant background that are deeply anchored in the Swiss society, KoGe empowers disadvantaged people and provides improved food security, education and health. It also strengthens communities in peacebuilding and conflict transformation.

CBM and FAIRMED, both focussing on health and disability inclusive development, join forces in the LNOB Alliance, building on Leaving No One Behind as the central and transformative promise of the Agenda 2030. The Alliance applies a rights-based approach: it works towards change at an individual level and challenges equally systemic discrimination by strengthening inclusive (health) systems and services and by supporting the agency of the most marginalised communities, including persons with disabilities, to exercise their rights


Core Contribution to Swiss Personnel Development Cooperation of UNITE 2025-2028

UNITE is a Swiss umbrellao rganisationw ith 13 member organisationse ngaged in Personnel Development Cooperation (PDC). The UNITE programme 2025-28 brings together the contribution of nine members to the implementation of the Swiss IC Strategy 2025-28 and the SDGs by strengthening and empowering local organisations in the Global South, in particular through the assignment of qualified, voluntary professionals. UNITE has developed Swiss PDC standards and contributes to the development of international PDC guidelines.


Core contribution to Caritas Switzerland, 2025 - 2028

Caritas Switzerland is dedicated to combating poverty and providing relief assistance in 15 countries affected by disaster and crisis, while combining humanitarian aid, development and peace building. It has strong roots in the Swiss population and partners with various Swiss actors from academia and the private sector. The organisation’s international programme focuses on Income, Climate Change and International Migration – three domains that are highly relevant in the implementation of the Swiss IC Strategy 2025-28

Helvetas is an independent Swiss NGO supported by over 1 00’000 members and private donors. It is active in 35 countries with over 300 projects and about 1'400 staff. Helvetas’ International Programme addresses a range of working areas from Water, Food and Climate, to Jobs and Income, as well as Inclusion and Cohesion. Helvetas is active in the Global South and in Eastern Europe. It is an important actor of the Swiss International Cooperation.



Core Contribution for Gender Equality & Health Alliance (GEH Alliance) 2025-2028

The GEH Alliance is dedicated to addressing gender inequality and improving access to health for women, children and youth, in particular those affected by intersectional discrimination. Its focus is on addressing social norms, discrimination and violence that adversely affect health and well-being, mainly in fragile and crisis affected contexts. Its expertise on sexual and reproductive health and rights, sexual and gender-based violence, health systems strengthening and inclusion is very relevant in light of the Swiss IC strategy 2025-28.
