République Centrafricaine, Fondation Hirondelle, Contribution à la Radio Ndeke Luka, 2025-2029

Via la DDC, la Suisse poursuit son soutien pluriannuel à la Radio Ndeke Luka (RNL) par la Fondation Hirondelle en République centrafricaine (RCA). L’éducation à l’utilisation des médias contribue à informer, à stimuler le débat, à promouvoir les droits humains et à lutter contre la désinformation, participant ainsi à la consolidation d’une paix durable dans le pays.

Strengthening the effectiveness and efficiency of locally led protection services

In Phase 2 NGO Resource Center will continue to provide capacity-building support to NGOs, particularly those focused on child protection and expand Mental Health and Psychosocial Support interventions for children and families. Additionally, the project will address child sexual abuse and violence by equipping humanitarian workers and relevant stakeholders with the necessary tools to respond effectively to child disclosures of abuse.

Switzerland has been a champion of the UN development system (UNDS) reform since its inception. The Swiss UNDS Handbook is an unprecedented tool to strengthen both the knowledge about the operational system of the UN and the oversight of Members States over the progress of the reform and support coherent implementation at country level. This intervention ensures that the handbook is also accessible in a digital and interactive format and stays up to date.


Relance de la production agricole et résilience alimentaire

La violence à l’est de la République Démocratique du Congo n’arrête pas d’amplifier la vulnérabilité des déplacés et des familles d’accueil. L’accès à une nourriture de qualité constitue un défi majeur pour les personnes affectées par ces crises. Ce programme apporte une réponse à l’insécurité alimentaire et nutritionnelle des ménages les plus vulnérables tout en jetant les jalons d’un travail sur les causes structurelles de ce problème dans les zones affectées par les conflits.


Building bridges for durable solutions

The number of internally displaced persons (IDPs) is on the rise while a major review of the global humanitarian and development system is ongoing and funding is diminishing. This programme positions Switzerland  to  advocate  for  durable  solutions  for  IDPs.  It  provides  the  knowledge, resources and solutions to Switzerland in shaping the role of  International Geneva as the UN’s humanitarian and migration hub in addressing the biggest ongoing displacement crisis in the world.  


Financing of Swiss United Nations Youth Volunteers (UNYVs) Intakes 2026-2028

The United Nations Volunteer (UNV) Programme promotes volunteerism across the United Nations and mobilizes volunteers worldwide. SDC finances the placement of young Swiss graduates within SDCs priority United Nations agencies. This provides them with invaluable working experience in the multilateral system and supports the efforts of the UN system to deliver on the 2030 Agenda.


WOCAT 2020+ Multi-Donor Basket Fund

Sustainably managing land is crucial to strengthen climate and livelihood resilience. WOCAT, global knowledge platform initiated by Switzerland, documents, shares and supports the implementation of such practices. The aim is to generate multiple benefits that can overcome the competition between climate change, food production, and biodiversity loss. To catalyse and facilitate support, a Multi-Donor Basket Fund has been set up, managed by the UN Convention to Combat Desertification.


Civic Space Fund - Georgia

Switzerland contributes to the UN-administered Civic Space Pooled Fund to address Georgia's shrinking civic space and growing pressure on the media. The initiative aims to strengthen democratic governance by promoting civic participation, building resilient civil society organizations, and supporting independent media. Through this contribution, Switzerland reinforces democracy and human rights through coordinated, inclusive, and rights-based action.


Reducing risk-factors for Non-Communicable Diseases in Ukraine (Act for Health), phase 2

Non-communicable diseases represent the most significant health problem in Ukraine and the situation worsened as a result of Russia’s military aggression. This disease burden threatens the country’s resilience, development, its human capital, and the capacity of its healthcare system. The Act for Health project is a flagship Swiss engagement that addresses the chronic disease burden through tailored and innovative approaches at all government levels, thereby supporting Ukraine’s recovery and reform path.


SER Culture for Democracy

Independent culture & arts are strong drivers for improved social cohesion, tolerance and democratic practice at the local level. Building on this potential CfD will support quality cultural and artistic initiatives, mainly outside of urban centers. Strengthening the resilience and strategic focus of independent cultural actors will open up more spaces for critical thinking and reflection and ultimately contribute to stronger foundations for social cohesion, tolerance and democracy in Serbia.


Smart Packaging Waste Management

Improper  waste  management  is  widespread  in  North  Macedonia  and  a  pressing  environmental  issue  threatening public health and environment. To address it Switzerland engages with Pakomak to enhance the effectiveness,  efficiency and  transparency  of  its packaging waste  recovery system1 through  digitalization and modernization of packaging waste selection2, collection, sorting, transportation and recycling. These efforts will significantly decrease the amount of waste disposed in landfills and contribute to the Green Agenda. 


Programme Paix et Cohésion Sociale au Niger

Depuis le coup d'État de 2023, les dynamiques de conflits au Niger s'intensifient, avec une dégradation continue de la sécurité et de la cohésion sociale. En renforçant les processus de conciliation, la médiation et le dialogue au niveau communautaire, le respect des droits humains, et une plateforme de concertation des acteurs de la paix, le programme contribue à la consolidation des bases d'une paix durable dans un contexte de transition, en valorisant l'expertise suisse.
