Job/Studies scam alert
The Embassy of Switzerland in New Delhi warns the public of fraudulent emails and letters in the context of studying and/or working in Switzerland.
The scammers behind these fraudulent emails and letters are posing as the educational institutes from Switzerland in an attempt to extract money from students on the pretext of providing education and eventually a job in Switzerland.
Have you been offered an educational degree in Switzerland?
You are advised to exercise due caution in dealing with such emails and letters. Kindly check their veracity before getting into any financial transactions. Remember, the websites could be designed to appear official, however they may be fraudulent.
Have you been offered a job in Switzerland?
You are advised to check it with the Embassy of Switzerland in New Delhi by writing an email along with a scan of the visa authorization letter to newdelhi.visa@eda.admin.ch
Finally, remember that the fees for the visa process is paid to the Embassy of Switzerland New Delhi directly or to the VFS center where you submit your visa application at the time of your scheduled appointment. The Embassy of Switzerland never asks you to deposit money in any other mode in exchange of a visa.
