March 2023 – The month of the Francophonie

Belgrade, 29th March at 19h00 to 12th April – The Swiss photographer, Clément Lamblet open his first exhibition in Belgrade. The exhibition "The Mathematics of Regression" will take place at the N.EON Gallery (Crnogorska Street, No.10).

This photo exhibition deals with racism within current technologies. The fifty-five thousand images at the source of this project are not neutral. They come from a database of forensic identity photographs. These portraits serve to create artificial intelligences for the automatic recognition of age, gender and ethnicity. In order to divert these portraits from their original purpose, the artist created an artificial intelligence that assembles these images by gender and age. The resulting portraits are the stereotypes of this database. The algorithm that the artist developed uses a principle of superposition that allows to preserve anonymity.
