The Section Analysis and Research is the SDC's centre of expertise for development. It supports the strategic orientation of Switzerland’s international cooperation and the formulation of policies linked to development.
Analysis and Research
The Section Analysis and Research monitors and analyses emerging issues and trends in international cooperation, in particular discussions taking place within the Development Assistance Committee (DAC) of the OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development).
The section contributes to the development debate at national and international level, prepares policy positions and coordinates input into key development policy processes. It initiates and promotes policy dialogue with key international partners.
It also coordinates preparatory work related to Switzerland's international cooperation strategy.
In addition, it implements the SDC's research policy and coordinates financing and other activities.
