Pakistan and Switzerland signed the Agreement under G-20 Debt-Service Suspension Initiative (December 21, 2020)

The Ambassador of Switzerland to Pakistan, H.E. Mr. Bénédict de Cerjat and the Secretary Economic Affairs Division, Mr. Noor Ahmed signed a Debt Rescheduling Agreement at the Economic Affairs Division on Monday, December 21, 2020. Mr. Ahmed appreciated the debt relief to Pakistan in the wake of the global Covid-19 pandemic that will allow the country to mitigate its health and economic effects. Pakistan has successfully concluded rescheduling agreements with 19 bilateral creditor countries to enable a lasting economic recovery.
