EU Member States

The EU Member States Section is responsible for the implementation of the second Swiss contribution to selected EU member states. Switzerland supports projects in the countries that have joined the EU since 2004 or are exposed to strong migration flows. In doing so, it contributes to reducing inequality in Europe and strengthens relations with the EU states.

The second Swiss contribution to selected EU member states is divided into the two framework credits, cohesion and migration, which are administered by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) and the State Secretariat for Migration (SEM). As regards content, the focus is on economic development, migration management, environmental protection and the strengthening of social systems and civil society.
