The touring exhibition, ‘Swiss Design Classics’, which forms a key part of the public diplomacy program marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Switzerland, is set to open at the Fosun Foundation in Shanghai at the end of May. It is curated by Christian Herren, jointly hosted by the Embassy of Switzerland in China, the Consulate General of Switzerland in Shanghai and the Fosun Foundation.

Trio ARS ET LABOR, established in 2011, brings together three instrumentalists - Swiss pianist Christa Bützberger, Italian violonist Sara Gianfriddo, and French cellist Héloïse Piolat, - that, as the renowned critic and musicologist Christoph Schlüren wrote, have “internationally revivified the great Italian tradition of the piano trio. The name itself is programmatic: ARS ET LABOR stands for the most refined interpretative culture, entirely at the service of music.” Since the first concerts, the Trio has stood out for its solid background and the exquisite performance of masterpieces for this formation.

Our Consulate will be participating in the Fest by providing a documentary film “Customs and Traditions” in Switzerland and two VR films about Swiss Alps and Zurich from a bird-eyes view.
