Switzerland's economic and diplomatic relations with Belize are good but moderate in scope.
Diplomatic and economic exchanges between the two countries are moderate in scope. Swiss interests are represented by the Swiss embassy in Mexico City and the honorary consul in Belize City.
Trade ties between Switzerland and Belize are limited in scope. In 2022, Switzerland imported some CHF 300,000 in goods from Belize, mainly agricultural products and textiles. Swiss exports in the same year amounted to just over CHF 1,5 million – mainly precision instruments, watches and jewellery, and pharmaceutical products.
Researchers who are citizens of Belize can apply to the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI) for Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships.

At the end of 2022 there were 27 Swiss nationals living in Belize.
Switzerland recognised Belize when it achieved independence in 1981. The two countries have maintained diplomatic relations since 1988.
The Swiss ambassador accredited to Belize is based in Mexico City. Switzerland has been represented by an honorary consul in Belize City since 1996.
