On the occasion of the first plenary meeting under Swiss chairmanship of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance on 26th June in Geneva, students from Geneva and Bienne present the outcome of their work. They worked for many months to translate the Memoirs of the Holocaust survivors who live in Switzerland.

Federal Councillor Didier Burkhalter undertook a two-day visit to Ukraine with the aim of strengthening relations between the two countries, discussing peace-building efforts and seeing first-hand what support is being provided by Swiss Humanitarian Aid.

Head of the FDFA Didier Burkhalter visited the Azraq refugee camp in Jordan, where he officially opened a water supply system funded by the Swiss Agency for Development Cooperation. The system will provide some 35,000 Syrian refugees with direct access to drinking water.

AQUA – Art to draw attention to the uneven distribution of water

Switzerland is supporting the travelling exhibition AQUA, which will open to the public in Geneva on 22 March on the occasion of World Water Day. AQUA is a project by ART for The World, an NGO that links up contemporary art, human rights and sustainable development.
